PRETTY LITTLE SAVAGE
LUCY SMOKE

Editore:
Autoconclusivo

Pagine: 410
Genere: New Adult, Bully Romance, Dark
Serie: Sick Boys #1, #2, #3

Rule No. 1: Don’t piss off the Sick Boys
They’re cruel. Reckless. Impossibly fucked up.
The Sick Boys feed on the order they create. They rule Eastpoint University just as their families have for decades. But their power doesn’t stop there. The three of them are heirs to some of the largest fortunes in the world, and behind that kind of wealth lies an underworld of corruption.
On the surface, they’re perfect princes and he is their King. But underneath it all, they’re filled with blood, lies, and secrets. With all of their connections, they have the power to crush anyone who gets in their way. But just because they’re as warped as I am doesn’t mean I’m going to give them a free pass.
Because I, Avalon Manning, bow to no one, and I live to break the fucking rules.

Into the Dark di Dana Isaly | Recensione

Buon lunedi booklovers!
Oggi recensione fresca fresca perchè ho finito il libro in questione giusto ieri. Si tratta dell'inedito Into the Dark di Dana Isaly, un dark romance abbastanza pesantino.
Nel frattempo io già inizio a disperarmi perchè fine mese significa presenze e cedolini e preferirei uccidermi grazie...

INTO THE DARK
DANA ISALY

Editore: Autopubblicato
Pagine: 225
Genere: Dark Romance

Him
I am the monster that lurks in your nightmares.
Evil incarnate. A sociopath. A murderer.
I kill women who are guilty of nothing other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Women like Lyra.
Her yellow raincoat flapped in the cool breeze when she walked by, that blonde hair making her look like a drowned rat as she stopped to taste the rain.
She wasn’t like the others, but my demon wanted her.
We followed her. Watched her. Obsessed over her.
She is ours. Of that I’m certain.
We will pull her into the depths of our darkness and keep her imprisoned there.
Until we meet our end.

Lyra
I am ordinary in every way.
Average looks. Mundane job. Boring life.
But when he looks at me, I become something else entirely.
His gaze stalks and tracks me like a game of cat and mouse, his eyes licking fire over my skin every time they glance in my direction.
My thoughts are consumed by him every moment he’s out of sight.
He is my obsession. I can’t let him go.
And once he shows me his true form, I know I’ve captured him forever.
He is mine. Of that I’m certain.
I will follow him to the depths of darkness and happily submit to his madness.
Until we meet our end.

And she’s come to give it to them.

Throne of Power di Rina Kent | Recensione

Buongiorno booklovers!

Speak No Evil di Ivy Fox | Recensione

Buongiorno booklovers!

SPEAK NO EVIL
IVY FOX

Editore: Autopubblicato
Pagine: 479
Genere: New Adult
Serie: The Society #3

Colt
I knew sooner or later the Society would come knocking on my door.
It was only a question of time.
But like all things in my wretched life, they had to single me out and make their treacherous demands that more inconvenient for me.
They want me to expose some unknown dark family secret.
I’m a f*cking Richfield—secrets are part of my damn birthright.
But that’s alright. I’ll play along.
They might think they hold all the cards in this twisted game of theirs, but little do they know, I’ve got an ace up my sleeve.
Dressed in pencil skirts, f*ck-me heels, and cat-frame glasses, Emma Harper is about to hand-deliver the Society to me on a silver platter.
They think they’re coming for me and mine?
Not going to happen.
I’m the one coming for them.
Emma
Colt Turner.
Egotistically vain.
Unapologetically arrogant.
Self-centered and morally bankrupt—all the traits I despise in a man.
Yet, for all his faults, he could be the key to solving the enigma that has baffled me for years.
The Society has eluded me for the last time, and surprisingly enough, Colt is the only one who can help me unmask them once and for all.
I’ve been waiting my entire life for this moment. I can’t turn back now.
No matter who gets hurt in the process.
Even if that person is me.

I’m the unease that can’t be explained, but won’t go away.
I’m your worst nightmare come to life.
I’m the filthy rich guy who’s coming for revenge.
Everything you’ve ever had.
Everything you hold dear.
I won’t stop until I break you.

Rocky
You were once my savior.
Now you’re my bully.
I’m the girl from the wrong side of the wrong side of the tracks.
No match for your money, your might, or your wrath.
But I’m not going down without a fight.
When I go, I’ll take you with me.
Because we’re more alike than you want to admit.
And more connected than you know.

Take Me With You di Nina G. Jones | Recensione

TAKE ME WITH YOU
NINA G. JONES

Editore: Autopubblicato
Pagine: 378
Genere: Dark Romance

I watch.
I study.
I prowl.
I hunt.
I always go in with a plan. A set of rules for myself. I don’t take unnecessary risks. That’s how I’ve been able to evade capture all these years.
But there’s something about this girl that is different than the others. When I finally meet her, the rules become a blur. And I break the most important one of all—I take her with me.
——-
It’s just my imagination—that feeling of being watched. That those icy eyes— a vivid turquoise with a distinct golden fleck—aren’t watching me.
It’s just stress. I am the person everyone relies on. Maybe that’s why I haven’t been feeling so content with my life lately. Why I dream those eyes belong to someone who can tear me away from all of my responsibilities.
But these are just shameful fantasies, never meant to breach reality.
Then one night, the dream comes true, only it’s a horrific nightmare.
Now, I only have one task: survival.

The Way I Used to Be di Amber Smith | Recensione

Buongiorno booklovers!
Oggi invece vi parlo dell'inedito The Way I Used to Be di Amber Smith, un romanzo dal tema per niente facile.

THE WAY I USED TO BE
AMBER SMITH

Editore: Margaret K. McElderry Books
Pagine: 367
Genere: Young Adult

Eden was always good at being good. Starting high school didn’t change who she was. But the night her brother’s best friend rapes her, Eden’s world capsizes.
What was once simple, is now complex. What Eden once loved—who she once loved—she now hates. What she thought she knew to be true, is now lies. Nothing makes sense anymore, and she knows she’s supposed to tell someone what happened but she can’t. So she buries it instead. And she buries the way she used to be.
Told in four parts—freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year—this provocative debut reveals the deep cuts of trauma. But it also demonstrates one young woman’s strength as she navigates the disappointment and unbearable pains of adolescence, of first love and first heartbreak, of friendships broken and rebuilt, and while learning to embrace a power of survival she never knew she had hidden within her heart.

Hear No Evil di Ivy Fox | Recensione

HEAR NO EVIL
IVY FOX

Editore: Autopubblicato
Pagine: 459
Genere: New Adult
Serie: The Society #2

Evil cannot take hold of an unconsenting soul.
Do not be amazed that hell is empty, since all the devils live here.
One by one, they will meet their hellish fate.
One down…
Three to go.
Easton
A tyrannous society has discovered our most atrocious secret and decided to wage war on us.
They’ve had their fun with Finn, and now it’s my turn to be their little puppet.
Someone should have warned them that I don’t play well with others.
If they think I’m going to bend over and let them screw with my life sans lube, they are sorely mistaken.
I’m no man’s pawn.
At least that’s what I told myself right up to the day I received a little black envelope that mercilessly sealed my fate—they’ve gone after the one person I would sacrifice anything for.
My friends.
Myself.
Even her.
Scarlett
They call him the dark prince of Asheville, a silvered eyed rebel without just cause for his defiance.
But to me, Easton Price is so much more than the mischievous persona he openly flaunts.
He’s the beautiful nightmare I desperately try to resist with clenched teeth and scarred heart.
As the pastor’s niece, I’m considered the epitome of good, while he’s the embodiment of sin.
There’s just one thing wrong with that assumption—I’m not that good.
And Easton is going out of his way to prove it.

Just One Year di Penelope Ward | Recensione

Buongiorno booklovers!

JUST ONE YEAR
PENELOPE WARD

Editore: Autopubblicato
Pagine: 321
Genere: New Adult

The beginning of my sophomore year in college was off to a rough start.
On the first day of orientation, I had an altercation with an infuriating British dude in a campus bathroom.
(The ladies’ room was out of order. So, I used the men’s room. Don’t judge.)
I got home later that night and realized that the foreign student we were expecting to rent a room in my parents’ house was allergic to our cat.
So, the spare room went to someone else: Caleb—the British guy from the men’s room.
And so it began…my love-hate story with Caleb Yates. Or was it hate-love in that order?
The guy knew how to push every one of my buttons.
Sometimes I’d email him to express my aggravation and disdain.
He’d actually rewrite my own words and send them back to me.
That was the type of infuriating person Caleb was.
So frustrating.
And…
Sometimes incredibly funny and endearingly sweet.
And hot.
He eventually grew on me, and Caleb soon became one of my best friends that year.
Too bad he was headed back to England soon, so nothing could happen between us—for so many reasons.
I definitely couldn't fall in love with him, especially since all we had was just one year.

See No Evil di Ivy Fox | Recensione

SEE NO EVIL
IVY FOX

Editore: Autopubblicato
Pagine: 487
Genere: New Adult
Serie: The Society #1

They thought they could get away with it, but they are sorely mistaken. They have been judged. They have been sentenced. All that remains is their execution. No one goes unpunished. We’ll make sure of it. We are The Society and all who dare cross us will find their miserable end by our hand. Don’t be fooled. This is not their story. It’s ours.
Finn
As long as I can remember, I’ve played by the rules. On and off the football field, I’ve done everything that has been expected of me. Until that fatal night. Now my life and the lives of my best friends hang in the balance, hung there by a sadistic sinister shadow forcing us to do their will. And it’s just my damn luck that I’m the first to be put on their butcher’s block. I must prove my worth by eradicating a certain pebble in their shoe. The order is simple. To save ourselves, I must ruin another—a life for a life. Meaning Stone Bennett’s life is about to be forfeited in exchange for my own. The poor girl never stood a chance.
Stone
He’s all American perfection. I’m the poster child for this country’s rejects. He’s old Asheville money and privilege. I’m the Southie eyesore people stay clear from. He’s caviar dreams and champagne wishes. I’m the trailer trash his momma probably warned him about. I doubt it can get any further away from the elitist’s social spectrum than the two of us. So why the hell is Finn Walker, Richfield’s football god, suddenly all in my face wanting my attention? Nothing good can come from this. I can feel it.

Distorted Love di T.L. Smith | Recensione

DISTORTED LOVE
T.L. SMITH

Editore: Autopubblicato
Pagine: 309
Genere: F
Serie: Dark Intentions Duet #1

I loved him from the age of sixteen.
Hated him from the age of eighteen.
He disappeared at the age of nineteen.
We started off as enemies, then fast became lovers.
But our story isn’t a happily ever after.
It was a story of a king and a peasant. Can you guess which I was?
I knew we weren’t meant to be.
You see, he fell in love with her first. He loved me last.
I'm not someone's second choice.
Not even for the boy who stole my heart.
I'm someone's first.
Now, I just have to remember that.
